IS THERE ANY POINT IN STUDYING HISTORY?
Is there any point in studying history?
Yes, because... it is a useless subject
Why do we need to study history ???? just to realize the mistakes our ancestors did..it is useless and according to me doing this is a waste........and by the way we'll know about all that because ; HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF..
Dear Rats Rocks, That should be a 'no-point', I believe. Sincerely Triple 9
Assuming that "history repeats itself" as is stated as a truism beyond all doubt on the left, then studying history helps us prepare for the repetition of history. Meaning, 1) "To learn from mistakes":It can help us not repeat the mistakes of the past, made by others or ourselves 2) "As a predictive measure": It can be used to predict our fate and thus prepare for it. 3) "To solve problems": Our entire education is the study of history, everything invented, discovered and postulated is all transcribed in pages of history, everything we learn and the solutions we offer up to solve everyday problems exist because of the preservation and study of history.

Is there any point in studying history?
Yes, because... Uses of history....
Let me begin categorically that I had no special interest in History in my school going days. But its importance cannot be underestimated.
The study of history can give us true examples of morals, and ethics. By studying history, we also gain the experiences of many others who lived before us and improve our judgement. It is an obvious fact that a theory put forth by anyone has some basis in something else that someone else before them has already proved inconclusively. "Those who possess knowledge of the past understand the flow of the present."
Is there any point in studying history?
No, because... histor is need os tht we can learn from the peoples past mistakes
ya other wise we would still be living like hobos :P
*history is needed so....
