CHANGING CHILDHOOD OBESITY IN THE SCHOOLS OR AT HOME

Boards of Education should require all schools to eliminate junk food from vending machines on school property, provide nutritious food for lunch and implement a program to teach students about nutrition.

Changing childhood obesity in the schools or at home

Yes, because... We need to implement this policy in all school districts

Ultimately the health of the kids is in the hands of their parents. The 'Naked Chef" worked with the British government to make canteen food in British schools everywhere healthy and edible. He was knighted for his commendable and dramatically innovative efforts.[1] If other Countries followed suit , we would have a much healthier , better-looking and happier world.

Changing childhood obesity in the schools or at home

Yes, because... At the same conference it was estimated that 61% of children have at least one factor for heart disease, and 26% have two.

Schools should add more recess time and physical activities into their curriculum to keep kids active and healthy. This will lower their risk oft heart disease

Changing childhood obesity in the schools or at home

Yes, because... Children are not being fed healthily at home

In a Wichita, Kansas obesity study it was reported that, on the day of the study, 38% of kids had no milk that day, 41% had no veggies, 24% had no exercise and 34% thought they weighed too much

Teach children about proper nutrition, but simply taking food out of schools will not teach children to eat correctly.
