SHOULD MEN AND WOMAN HAVE A PAY DIFFERENCE
Well for the most part it says it in the title. The question I pose is whether or not men should have a higher pay rate than woman.
Should men and woman have a pay difference
Yes, because... Salaries are determined based an a number of indicators that reflect a) Competence and b) Reliability
Men; especially married men are more reliable than women because of their social roles as breadwinners. Employers prefer hiring people they feel won't just jump at every opportunity to get a better job. Working Single&married mothers cannot be thought of as being as reliable as a family man; because they usually go for temp jobs and their work can suffer because of their child's needs. Women take maternity leaves, Women want day care they can trust and women need to be with their kids/family.[1]
Single women can get more help, protection and do not need a job as much as a single man does. Therefore men and women who are equally competent have a huge salary disparity because of reliability and the employer's security that they won't leave.
Women can be professional, responsible and reliable. In fact, women are the anchor that make married men more reliable than their unmarried counterparts. A woman makes sure that a man is not letting his risk-encouraging testosterone lead his career.
Women are cautious drivers and are more careful than men when venturing to anything.
Problem is a man who sleeps around is not considered irresponsible whereas a woman who has a baby in or out of wedlock is. This taboo against pregnant women dominates the workplace and in reality is nothing more than a social myth.[1]
If salary is determined by competence and reliability, it should be increased or decreased based upon how one performs at work, not pre-emptively, based upon how well you think they are going to work because of their gender.
Vote on this point: Salaries are determined based an a number of indicators that reflect a) Competence and b) Reliability

Should men and woman have a pay difference
No, because... Women who work the same hours and are as productive as their male colleagues get lower pay because of social stigma/prejudice
Women settle for lower salaried jobs because they are relatively risk-averse. Men argue, negotiate and weigh out multifarious opportunities before even considering settling.
Male students are more likely to argue with a teacher/professor who has downgraded them. Men are more likely to tell employers that they deserve a higher income and to better evaluate their value in the workplace.[1][2]
Women should only get equal pay; once they/we learn to take a few risks and sell themselves. Women tend to put themselves and other women down; this has a negative impact on their/our income.
Fact is, is most countries; most of the time; women who spend the same number of hours working as men get lower salaries.[1][2][3]
"Even in predominantly female fields like nursing and teaching, women still earn less than men: female nurses earn 91 percent and female teachers earn 87 percent of what their male counterparts do"[4]
