IS BELGIUM GOING TO SPLIT IN TWO?

Belgium is split between French and Flemish speaking parts of the country. Wallonia, the French speaking bit is poorer so it is not surprising that the Flemish wish to split Belgium up in to two separate states. Every so often the possibility of Belgium finally splitting rises before dying back for a few years. The success of the New Flemish Alliance, an anti establishment separatist party in last weekend’s elections has brought the spectre up again.
