SHOULD YEAR 6 SAT'S BE BANNED?
Considerable debate has taken place in which this house believes SATS for yr 6's should be banned. I am now opening this debate to the floor.thus if you have read it,debate it!!!!! this house believes this house opposes
Should Year 6 SAT'S Be Banned?
Yes, because... should'nt be banned
SATs show what you can and can`t do. So your teachers can help you with the things which you are unsure on.
SAT`s results can show how much you have improved over the years
Hi there I am in year 6 and I disagree about there not being S.A.T.S.
You all probably think I am mad but if we didn't have SATS our school won't of known what we have learnt.
Standard Assessment tests for 6th graders; Assess the standard of teaching at various schools as well as the standard of learning for individual pupils.
They are also important because they pass on our results to our secondary school.
I should be revising right now for my upcoming S.A.T.S but I'm trying to tell you all why S.A.T.S are so important and they should go on.I hope I've proved my point.

No, because... SATS ARE IMPORTANT!
Hi, I suggest that you put this on the main site http://debatewise.org/ as this site is not really used much at the moment. We may get back to it eventually but I expect it will be a site for speciallist academic things whereas this is just the kind of debate our main site is good for. Current affairs questions about things that affect people on the ground and something that many people will not be knowledgeable about so will want the information to make up their own mind.

Should Year 6 SAT'S Be Banned?
No, because... SATs should not be banned
There should be some form of standardized testing. I believe it encourages students to be more diligent. If they have nothing to look forward to, then the levels of US education will continue to degrade. Some recent studies claim that SAT tests have racial bias, and I completely disagree. I read junksciencemom's blog and recommend it to everyone who is interested in junk science and education. She has lots of good stuff supported by facts.
