Convicted paedophiles should be chemically castrated
No, because... The measure lacks efficiency
We would like to stand out the fact that chemical castration is not that effective, it is well known for many of us that the drug used in the procedure requires to be consumed regularly for the treatment to be successful; how can a so limited medicament be useful in combating pedophilia when it’s reliability lies in the rigorous control of dosis? Highly populated countries would have trouble with this, it is a rough task (almost impossible) to watch over the criminal’s treatment and even more difficult to force them into following it, with this pint we would like to make understandable something that is obvious but still important, you can’t make something function unless you have it first done. Following the line, each body is different, we can not assure that the drug will work in the same way with each person, there is risk of feminization and some other side effects which should make us think about if it is worth of spending thousands of Euros in this medicines just to quarrel if it works on the convicts. And last and for getting into the main event of it we would like to remember everyone that this cure is not that much, anybody who wanted to overcome the effect of the drugs could do it by having an extremely sexual desire of fantasy for someone, still we insist: Are the £2,000 worth of it?

Voluntary Surgical Castration is the best method for a preferential pedophiliac of the recalcitrant type.
To deny any pedophile the right to a voluntary surgical castration (as a preventative measure) is both inhumane and socially unsound. I ask, before anyone comments on my post, to peruse the following two articles: 1) Voluntary Surgical Castration of Sex Offenders: http://www.brooklaw.edu/students/journals/blr/72.2.07%20Batchoo%20Note%204.3%20(rev%202).pdf 2) The Impact of Surgical Castration on Sexual Recidivism Risk Among Sexually Violent Predatory Offenders: http://www.jaapl.org/cgi/reprint/33/1/16.pdf We need to base our discussion on legal principle and scientific research.
